Whitsundays Photography

Right in the middle of my uni degree I decided to take some time off and utilize my parents holiday house in shute harbour. What is an incredibly modest house is situated on the end of shute haven point and what really makes the house stand out is it's incredibly gorgeous panoramic views of all the islands.

With this as my base I started work on Daydream Island as the resort photographer, my daily duties involved documenting the guests in their various leisure activities... 99% time this was them drinking cocktails at the pool bar. But some exerted themselves to play the odd round of putt putt and for the truly enthusiastic... parasailing.

What really differentiates working in the Whitsunday's to say any other location, is the commute. Being forced to catch the ferry every morning and evening had two fantastic advantages, the early morning rise allowed me to catch the most beautiful sunrise in the world,

While the afternoon journey home would further afford me a better opportunity to get to know the guests and other employees in the most relaxed and scenic setting one could ask for.

Just voted for you and have sent the link around my office here in Copenhagen. Will be totally jealous if you make it onto the island but wish you all the very best with the adventure! Hopefully an Aussie will get it. Fingers and toes are crossed.
